The Angela Peralta Theater is a principal cultural and tourist attraction in Old Mazatlan. It is one of the few opera houses of its type and age in Mexico that still functions as a working theater. Its construction began in 1869 and it was originally named the Teatro Rubio (After its first owner). Today it is called the Angela Peralta Theater in homage to the most widely known Mexican soprano in the world, who died in Mazatlan in 1882.
Taxis are available on a first come, first served basis. Upon exiting the airport the taxi stand and drivers are ready to serve you. Since the taxis charge based on a ZONE system you simply let the dispatcher (located in the taxi stand) know you want to be taken to Casa Lucila Boutique Hotel in the Olas Altas area of the Historic Center.
