Mazatlan's #1 Boutique Hotel

10 years, 10 valades packages

2017 is Casa Lucila’s ten-year anniversary and we are celebrating in a big way with family. Owner Conchita Valades affectionately named the property in honor of her mother, Lucila Valdez de Valades, and each of the eight hotel rooms after one of Lucila's eight daughters. The owner’s father, and Lucila’s husband, Fernando Valades, was a popular Mexican singer-songwriter and pianist. From the moment you arrive to Casa Lucila Hotel Boutique, you always feel welcomed into the Valades family. This year we are offering ten signature experiences, each one recognizing an important family member:

Lucila Valdez de Valades

Keeping it really simple here with the matriarch of the family and namesake of the boutique hotel itself. Enjoy a three-night, four-day accommodation as a guest in Lucila’s home – Casa Lucila.

Fernando Valades

A famous Mexican composer, pianist and singer, and Mazatlan native, Fernando Valades was deeply rooted in music. Experience a taste of Mazatlan’s rich music culture with an al fresco dinner in Plaza Machado, where music fills the evening air as patrons dance. (Alternate: Visit Puerto Viejo, a restaurant in the Centro Historico, for an evening of karaoke. Bonus points for singing in Spanish!)

Conchita Valades

Lucila’s youngest daughter, Conchita, built Casa Lucila to provide a space to rekindle her parent’s love story and allow others to share theirs. Enjoy a private candlelit dinner for two on the rooftop terrace, which features sweeping ocean views behind the infinity pool.

lupita valades

Lupita Valades

Lupita is known as one of the most creative of all the sisters. Enjoy a Pulmonia ride to the Museo de Arte Mazatlan, the Centro Historico’s stunning visual arts center, followed by a private tour through the area’s various arts and crafts boutiques.

Lety Valades

Lety puts her sisters to shame with her dessert making skills. Partake in a private dessert-making class for two with wine pairings at Lucila’s Restaurant.

Chayito Valades

Known as the goofiest of all the sisters, Chayito was the unassuming prankster. In honor of her theatrical spirit, enjoy an evening at the Angela Peralta Theater, which has been beautifully restored since its founding in the 1800s.

Esther Valades

Esther is known as the best cook among all the sisters. Chef Pepe at Lucila’s Restaurant will guide you through a private cooking tour of several of Esther’s favorite recipes, as well as signature Mazatlan dishes.

Marina Valades

Marina has traveled the world and continues to seek out new places to visit. In honor of her wanderlust, travel back in time with a day trip to Las Labradas, a site of beach petroglyphs providing artifacts and clues into Mexico’s ancient roots.

Lucy Valades

Nicknamed La Guera (The Blonde), Lucy was without doubt the best storyteller of all the sisters. Upon arrival, guests will receive a curated guide to Mazatlan from the Valades family.

Alma Valades

Alma was crowned Queen of the Floral Games during Mazatlan's 1961 Carnival. Get pampered like a Queen or King at Casa Lucila’s Piccolino Spa, where you will enjoy a 60-minute Swedish massage.
